33RD REGULAR ANNUAL ASSEMBLY OF THE GRAND NATIONAL LODGE OF SERBIA – KRAGUJEVAC 2026
The 33rd Regular Annual Assembly of the Grand National Lodge of Serbia (GNLS) was held at the Prince’s Arsenal in the Orient of Kragujevac. It was presided over by Grand Master Bratislav Uraković, gathering Brethren from across the Obedience to solemnly mark another successful Masonic year.
In addition to its regular working session, the Assembly confirmed a series of decisions of historic significance for the further development of GNLS.
ADOPTED REPORTS AND STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS OF DEVELOPMENT
The Brethren adopted the Grand Master’s Report on the work of GNLS for the period from 15 June 2025 to 14 June 2026. They also adopted the financial report and the report of the Supervisory Board.
The work of the Obedience over the past period unfolded along three strategic directions:
strengthening the Brotherly Chain through expansion,
intensified international activity,
advancement of the Grand Office.
GNLS’S MOST IMPORTANT ACHIEVEMENTS IN 2025/2026
Among the most important achievements highlighted in the Grand Master’s Report are the following:
GNLS today numbers 533 Brethren, with 30 lodges and 16 temples across Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. It has maintained an annual growth trend of 15%;
the Brotherly Chain was strengthened by the founding of new lodges – AURA (Or. Subotica), Stevan Sinđelić (Or. Niš), Zlatni Presek (Or. Belgrade) and Neimar (Or. Jagodina);
concrete steps were taken towards the formation of the Grand Sovereign Lodge of Montenegro. GNLS attaches special historic significance to this, in the development of Francophone Freemasonry;
the international position was strengthened – the Gold Plaque of the Grand Lodge of France, the Decree of Recognition with the Grand Regular Lodge of North Macedonia, and participation in the Summit of Central European Obediences in Slovenia. In addition, it was announced that the CIGLU initiatic meetings of European Obediences will be held in Belgrade in 2027.
ASSEMBLY DECISIONS AND RECOGNITIONS FOR DESERVING BRETHREN
In the course of its work, the Assembly adopted the Decision on the Formation of the Obedience in the Orient of Montenegro. It also confirmed the placing under GNLS protection of the lodges AURA, Zlatni Presek, Stevan Sinđelić and Neimar. On this occasion, recognitions were also presented to deserving Brethren.
SOLEMN GNLS CONVENT – INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION AND BROTHERHOOD
The working session was followed by the solemn part of the Assembly, closing with the GNLS Convent. The Convent was attended by Sisters and Brethren from Obediences across Europe and Serbia with which GNLS shares spiritual recognition. Their presence bore witness to the strength of the brotherly ties and the standing GNLS enjoys within the international Masonic community.
This was followed by the reception of delegations and the addresses of guests, and the fellowship of Brethren and guests continued with a festive luncheon.
