The annual Convent of the Grand Lodge of France was held this year in Paris on June 16 and 17. In accordance with the tradition of the Grand Lodge of France, the closing of the Convent was performed with a solemn ceremony held on Sunday, June 18, 6023 G.I.S. in the Grand Temple – Pierre Brossolette at the headquarters of this Obedience in Paris.
Over twenty delegations from Grand Lodges around the world attended the closing ceremony. The closing of the Convent was attended by a delegation from the Supreme Council of France, as well as delegations from the women’s Grand Lodges. The delegation of the Grand National Lodge of Serbia was led by the Grand Master, Brother Bratislav Uraković, and included the Second Deputy Grand Master, the Grand Secretary, the Grand Chancellor, and other Brothers. The Grand Master, Brother Bratislav Uraković, addressed the attendees, wished the host much success in his future work, and at the end of his presentation, presented a gift from the VNLS to the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of France, Brother Thierry Zaveroni.
In his closing remarks, the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of France said that for him, it is always a joy and an honor to welcome the Grand Officers and delegates of the GL of France’s Convent at the Convent, thanked all those present for their participation, and invited them to the banquet organized at the conclusion of the Convent. The banquet was an opportunity for fellowship and to discuss further cooperation, especially with Brothers from Bulgaria, Macedonia, Slovenia, and other surrounding Obediences.
