Grand National Lodge of Serbia and Grand Lodge of France
The Grand National Lodge of Yugoslavia — GNLY, was founded on September 26, 5997 G.I.S. at the 7th Regular Annual Assembly of the Grand Lodge of Yugoslavia, when it was decided that this obedience would change its name and re-register under a new name.
The very next month, in October 5997, the VNLJ renewed its cooperation with the Grand Lodge of France (www.gldf.org), which had begun and been prematurely interrupted in 5990 G.I.S. In December of the same year, a delegation from the Grand Lodge of France came to Belgrade to negotiate and sign a Charter of Mutual Recognition and Friendship.
The cooperation with the GLF was confirmed on June 18, 6000, when the VNLJ, together with the Grand Lodge of France and the Grand Traditional and Symbolic Lodge of Opera, was a founding member of the organization GLUDE — Les Grandes Loges Unies d’Europe.
After the formation of the Republic of Serbia in 2006, the VNLJ changed its name to the Grand National Lodge of Serbia (VNLS) and operates under that name to this day. On June 19, 6015 G.I.S., the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Decree on mutual recognition and cooperation was signed in Paris.
