REPORT OF THE 28TH ELECTORAL ASSEMBLY OF THE GRAND NATIONAL LODGE OF SERBIA
On June 6, 6021 A.L., the Grand National Lodge of Serbia held its 28th Electoral Assembly, with the participation of 82 delegates and 45 Brothers, non-voting members. This solemn event took place at the “M” Hotel, the usual gathering place for the Brethren of our Obedience. The main item on the agenda was the election of officeholders and bodies of the Grand National Lodge of Serbia, which is held every three years. This time, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the elections were postponed for a year.
At the Assembly, a new Grand Master of the Grand National Lodge of Serbia was elected. Along with the Grand Master, the Grand Officers of the Obedience and the Delegates of the Federal Council of the VNLS were also elected. Their term of office runs until June 6024. G.I.S.
The Assembly heard and, after a brief discussion, adopted the reports of the Grand Master, Nikola Mitrović, and the Acting Grand Master S. T., as well as the reports of the Grand Treasurer and the Supervisory Board of the Grand Lodge of Serbia.
Petitions from the Lodge “Truth” were considered and PL “Probitas” regarding its current status. The admission of a lodge under the protection of the VNLS requires that the lodge seeking admission be monitored and observed for an extended period, so it was decided to postpone the final admission of these Lodges until the next Assembly. and that during the year, the necessary education will be conducted on the adoption of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, as well as the customs, ideas, and goals of the VNLS. Additionally, the necessary individual vetting of all candidates who knock on the door of our Obedience will be carried out.
The Assembly concluded with a White Table dinner, with an agreement that we all turn to the work, development, and strengthening of the VNLS.
